If you want to publish an Ubuntu SDK app or scope for mobile devices, sign up for free to get a Software Store account.
Note: Be sure to pick a unique namespace for your submissions, such as com.ubuntu.developer.<username> – this is the only setting which can not be changed later on.
Package up your content ready to upload
If you are using the Software Store, the Ubuntu SDK makes it very easy to generate packages which can be used in Ubuntu. You simply need to pay attention to a few simple steps along the way and you are almost there.
Prepare the icons and screenshots
You only need to upload a 256×256 pixel icon, but your app or scope will be more likely to be seen and downloaded if you pay special attention to this step. Make sure you include a representative screenshot and the full range of icon sizes.

Add the details
To help people find your app or scope, we’ll ask you to choose a category, include a detailed description and some keywords to aid search. You’ll also need to choose a (including open source and proprietary software). It’s also important that you add a URL where users can contact you.
Your submission will be reviewed
Once you've submitted your scope, app or web app, it will go through the automatic review process. If it passes the review criteria, it will be published after a few minutes. Otherwise, we will be in touch to help ensure your content makes it to the Software Store.
